May 2017 was a busy month for the recent college grad and entrepreneur @treasurebijon. She simultaneously relaunched her business and graduated from Kennesaw State University. Treasure is the mastermind behind Pray Mates, a Christian lifestyle brand that empowers women to live for Christ every day of their lives.
Not only was I impressed with the brand’s mission, but I also love the graphic element. Pray Mates currently sells cute graphic tees and phone cases.
Treasure originally launched this project in high school, yet she decided to rebrand and relaunch when she noticed that a lot of her friends were coming to her for advice dealing with Christ. Treasure’s mission is to build a trendy brand that people can relate to, while sharing the word of God to empower young women.
In the future, Treasure is planning to add stationery items to her line and ultimately open a small combination boutique/coffee shop to sell her merchandise. This would also create a safe space for Christian women to come and network, hang out, or simply to relax and read a good book.
During the first week of May, I was fortunate enough to be the winner of the first Pray Mates giveaway, which included a Starbucks gift card, a day planner and a Pray Mates phone case. Thank you so much, Pray Mates, for such meaningful gifts. Now, I will be reminded every day to put God first and to Wake, Pray, Slay & Repeat!
